MyCash — Privacy Policy

MyCash is a personal finance app that runs entirely on your device.
The short version
MyCash collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your financial records never leave your phone unless you export a backup yourself.
What MyCash stores, and where
Everything you enter — accounts, balances, transactions, transfers, currency exchanges, debts, people you lend to or borrow from, categories and settings — is written to a database file inside the app's own storage on your device.
That file is not uploaded anywhere. It is not synced to a server. It is not shared with us or with anyone else. We have no way to read it, because it never reaches us.
What leaves your device
MyCash itself sends one thing, and only one thing: a request for exchange rates.
When you refresh rates, MyCash makes an anonymous request to:
- cbu.uz — the Central Bank of Uzbekistan's public rate feed
- open.er-api.com — a free international rate feed, used for currency pairs the Central Bank does not publish
These requests ask “what are today's rates?” and nothing more. They contain no account data, no transaction data, no name, no identifier, and no information about you. As with any internet request, the operators of those services will see the IP address the request came from; their own privacy practices apply to that, and are outside our control.
You can use MyCash without ever refreshing rates. Rates can also be entered by hand, in which case the app makes no network requests at all.
Backups you make yourself
Settings → Export writes your whole ledger to a single backup file and hands it to the system share sheet. Where that file goes — Files, AirDrop, a message, an email — is entirely your choice. MyCash does not send it anywhere on its own and never learns where it ends up.
The backup is a plain, readable JSON file with everything in the app: accounts, balances, transactions, debts, people and settings. It is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere only you can reach.
Settings → Import reads a backup file you pick and restores it on this device. The file is read locally and is not uploaded.
What MyCash does not do
- No account, login, or registration
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting
- No advertising and no ad identifiers
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No location access
- No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access
- No selling or sharing of data, because there is no data to sell or share
Deleting your data
Deleting the app from your device deletes its database with it. There is no server-side copy to request the deletion of, because there is no server.
Backup files you exported are yours and are not touched when the app is deleted; remove them from wherever you saved them.
Children
MyCash is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new date at the top.
